A recent Gallup poll finds that American adults are reading fewer books each year: Americans say they read an average of 12.6 books during the past year, a smaller number than Gallup has measured in any prior survey dating back to 1990.

It takes a little over an hour to read 10,000 words at 150 words per minute. This is considered slow. Fast is 325 words per minute and would take you 40 minutes, but I would assume you would want to absorb as much of the material as possible.

Considering the times that we’re living in, I feel that the importance of the Book of Revelation cannot be overstated. Therefore, the reason for this small booklet. Are there better works? More complete works? Definitely, but will we take the time to read them?

Originally published in 1995 this work focuses primarily on the seven churches of Revelation. These letters describe the conditions that existed during the time of John’s writing and were local assemblies located in Asia Minor. The letters reveal their representative nature as well as seven periods or ages existing from Pentecost till the end of the church era.

The association or parallelism between the seven churches and the seven parables of Matthew 13 plus the mysteries of the Bible are compared. Chapters concerning the long-awaited rapture of the church, the judgment seat of Christ and the marriage supper of the Lamb is explored. From there the church journeys to its final destination, the celestial city of the New Jerusalem.

Then finally laying out the foundations of the Eternal Home, and how a believer shall gain entrance to The New Jerusalem and the grand plan of Salvation. “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” (Rev. 21:1-2)
